Audi’s newest electric car has been getting a lot of attention at the Detroit 2010 Auto Show. It has 2 electric motors with a combined power rating of 204 ponies, that’s a lot of ponies for a electric car. Audi’s E-tron is almost like a super future car out of a science fiction movie. 0-60 in less than 6 seconds with 1,954 lb-ft of torque. The headlights are a bit off though. I believe the Audi R8 style headlight have been Audi’s best creation.
The 2011 Honda CR-Z was another attention grabber at the show. With a 122-horsepower 1.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder engine, which produces 128 lb-ft of torque it sure brings back fun memories of the Honda CRX. This hybrid coupe should be fun fixing up, I can’t wait to get my hands on one. It could sure use some yellow fog lights and some new headlights.
Notice anything different about this MINI? No doors! Oh, this vehicle is just asking for a car jacking. Even though this car is a concept it still looks like a lot of fun. The MINI Beachcomber Concept car has raised seats, increased suspension travel and relatively giant wheels. Power comes from a 1.6-liter turbocharged in-line four. There is still information on projected performance. I bet this MINI would good great in black with some black led headlights and black rims.
The Detroit 2010 Auto Show had a lot more cars, check out the pictures below. Makes you wish you were there huh? It’s never too late to make plans for next year’s show. See you there next time.
