The H2 Hummer was built for hardcore out door fun.  When you’re going to take your H2 Hummer off-road make sure you’re equipped with off-road fog lights.   The number one concern when you take your H2 off-road you want to make sure you can see where you’re going.  Turbo Metal would like to introduce our 2010 Hummer H2 4×4 off-road fog lights with a build in 6000K hid system.  The fog light has a diameter of 5.5″ inches with a removable front shield guard.   The unit can be mounted on grill guards, bull bars, or on top of roof racks.  The built in 6000K Hid System in the fog lights can help produce 3-4 times brighter light output.  Since the hid system is already built into the fog lights there is no need for messy wiring.  The back housing of the H2 fog lights are made of metal to endure the toughest off-road driving conditions.  Check of some of the installed pictures below.

This is the installation guide for the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 Toyota Tundra Fog Lights.  In this reviews, we will teach you how to install this 07-10 Toyota Tundra Fog lights with easy step-by-step instruction.  These Toyota Tundra Fog Lights are designed for the Tundra with pre-wired fog harness which means it’s “Plug and Play Install”.  After you read this instruction, don’t forget to go to our storefront and get a pair of 2007-2010 Toyota Tundra Fog lights for your 07, 08, 09 or 10 Toyota Tundra. Verify the kit contents

1: Lossen the bottom of the Splash Shield

See Figure 1: Remove both of the 10mm bolts from the Spiash Shield behind the left (driver’s side) Fog Lamp position.  Use either a 10mm socket or a Phillips screw driver.

See Figure 2: Remove the lower Push Clip from the Spiash Shield.  Push in both wings, with a flat bladed screwdriver, to remove it the Weather Guard from bumper.

2: Remove the Fog Lamp Blanks from the bumper

Insert a thin, Flat screwdriver, at about 12 and 9 o’clock, to release the tab.  Pull the Filler out from the front.  (See Figure 3)

3: Install the Left Fog Lamp ( driver’s side ) assembly.

See Figure 4.  Put it in from the front.  Insert the two tabs, further to the back, before the one first released when removing the Filler.  Push it in firmly until you hear a Locking Sound.

Use a Zip Tie to fasten the Fog Lamp Assembly to the bumper frame as shown.
Plug the connector into the Lamp.  The connector is taped up to the harness, just above the Fog Lamp.

Install the Fog Relay

2) Remove the Fuse Box Cover.
It is located just behind the battery in the Engine bay

3) Install the Fog Relay.
Plug the Fog Relay into the position shown.  You can check the position on the Diagram located inside, under the Fuse Box cover.

Install the Fog Lamp Switch

1.) Remove the driver’s side Door Sill Molding.

2.) Remove the driver’s side Kick Panel.
Remove the Plastic Nut above the driver’s Foot Rest.

3.) Remove the Lower Driver Side Dashboard.

Remove both of the 10mm bolts, designated 1 and 21.

Pull the bottom outward slightly, then pull the top tabs out.  There are two tabs on each side of the steering wheel.  Gently, allow it to hang from the cables.

4.) Insert the Fog Lamp Switch.

Remove the Blank from the Fog Light Switch position.  Squeeze the tabs together, from the rear, and slide it out the front.

5. Install the Harness ( Disconnect the Negative of the Battery)

a) Red Wire : Positive Input to the Switch.  Located Top Left Panel 3 Pins Down from the Top.

Install the Red input Wire and connect it to the green wire, as shown.  Snap it closed with a pair of pliers.  Insert the terminal securely.

*If you have a Alarm Installed.  Please connect the Red and “the Existing White Wire” to the Green wire.

When the Battery is Connected, Use the Circuit light tester on the Green Wire to verify that it’s the Parking Light Output.

b) Blue Wire: Negative Output.  Located on Top Right Panel 4 pin Down.

Install the Blue output wire tap into 22 gauge thin Blue wire, you may Unplug this Harness to make it easier to tap into, the Blue wire is thin to make sure you have a good Connection.  (See Photo Above)

c) Black Wire : Ground.

Remove the 10mm Ground Bolt Label “C”.  Place the Black wire terminal on the bolt and then replace it.  Tighten it securely.

Route the wires neatly so that they do not interfere with the panels when replaced.  Zip Tie them in place if necessary.

Place Double Check to make sure the Red and Blue wire is correct in Figure 10

6.) Restore Power  ***( Use Circuit Light Tester on Green Wire to Detect Parking Lamps)***
Connect Negative on Battery, Turn on Parking Lights Mode.
The new Switch will now illuminated.  Test Switch On-Off for the Fog Lamps.

Replace the interior panels.

Slide the driver’s side Kick Panel forward into place.  There are two clamps which must be engaged.
Replace the Plastic Nut removed in step 2.  Tighten firmly by hand.

HID Xenon Conversion Kit 9005/HB3 3000K (Free Ship to 48 Domestic States)

The BMW 5 Series made between the years of 1995 to 2004 (E39), is often regarded as one of the best sedans of all time.  It was born in Europe in 1995 constructed designed based of the 7 Series with all new electronic technology features.  In 1997 this BMW status symbol was a instant hit with a very attractive ass kicking 150 pony engine.  Not only was this car a beast but there was lots of room to fix up the vehicle.

Black housing halo projector headlights looked great on this car.  The aggressive front end was a perfect match for halo projector headlights.  Personally, I would go with black headlights no matter what color of the car, but chrome housing and smoke housing for the E39 is available as well.  Installation on the headlights would not be complete if you did not add on a hid system.  My advice, since you’re installing new headlights on your E39, might as well get the whole front end done up correctly with new headlights and a hid kit system.  Since it is a BMW you will need special relays to stop aftermarket hid systems from flickering.

After adding on aftermarket headlights I would recommend a front bumper lip to complete the new look on your E39.  Bumper lips are a great way to change the look on your front end without having to put on a body kit.  It’s simple clean look without having to go to the extreme.  PU or ABS plastic is recommended because they seem to last longer against bumps in the road.

Classic 7’’ round headlights has never looked so good until now.  Turbometal unveiled its 7’’ round sealed beam headlights with a twist of adding LEDs into the headlight.  These 7” round led headlights can be used with any vehicle with a 7 inch headlight application.  The headlights are compatible with hid kits as well.

Installation is very simple on these 7” round led headlights.  All you need to do is remove the rubber cap on the back of the 7” led round headlights, place the bulbs in or hid bulbs in and lock it into place with the metal pins.  If you plan on using these 7” round led headlights with a hid kit, make sure when you’re putting the bulbs in they are not touching the side.  Take your time and install them the correct way or else if the bulbs touch the side of the housing, the high temperature hid bulbs will heat up the housing and cause smoke.  In the back of the 7” round led headlights there are also 2 sets of loose wires for the Led, which can be wiring into the parking lights or the headlights to be turned on.  It’s just a matter of personal preference.

In this article, we will tell you how to choose a HID conversion kit that fits your vehicle and gives you the color you want for your light output.  Because the color temperature might vary from different manufacturers, this guide will only apply on HID conversion kit selling on Turbometal.com.  And finally, we will include some HID installation video to give you a brief idea how to install the HID kit.  Again, the installation is different for different vehicles, but the installation video will give you a brief idea and general concept about how to install the HID.

A lot of people do not care how HID works, as long as the kit they buy produce the right color for their vehicle.  For those people wanna dig in more about HID kit and understand how it works, I’ll provide some links here so that you can read them and understand how HID works:

How to choose the correct HID that fits your car?

A lot of people are confused about the numbers about the HID, i.e. H1, H4, 9006, D2S, 3000K, 6000K, 10000K, etc.  First of all, the number with the K means color temperature, which dominates what color the light output will be for the HID kit.  The color temperature will not affect if the light bulbs fit your car or not, yet the light bulb size does!

In general, there are different light bulb size that fits different vehicles; there are 880, 881, H1, H3, H4 ( also known as 9003 or HB2 ), H7, H8, H9, H10 ( also known as 9145 ), H11, H12 ( also known as 9145 ),  H13 ( also known as 9008 ), 9005 ( also known as HB3 ), 9006 ( also known as HB4 ), 9004 ( also known as HB1 ), 9007 ( also known as HB5 ), D2S, D2R, D1S, D1R.  In order to find out what light bulbs your car is using, we suggest you to go to this link:

Headlights Light Bulbs Application

Among all these light bulb size, the H4/9003/HB2, 9004/HB1, 9006/HB4, 9007/HB5 and H13/9008 can be either single Xenon or Bi-Xenon.  Bi-Xenon means that the low beam and high beam of your headlights are sharing the same light bulbs, and Bi-Xenon allows you to apply HID for both low and high beam.  In most situation, HID kit is bright enough for normal driving situation, so single Xenon will not give you any problem at all; however, Bi-Xenon allow you to use both low and high beam with HID, so you might consider to get Bi-Xenon if you do not mind paying more.

In conclusion, when you purchase your HID conversion kit, first thing is to find out what light bulb size your vehicle is using, and if your light bulb size is listed above, you might want to find out if the HID conversion kit is a Bi-Xenon kit or not.  After that, you can choose what color temperature you want to purchase, and we will cover more detail about color temperature in the next section.

How to choose the color that I want for my HID kit?

Color temperature is measured in Kelvin (K), and different “K” produces light output in different color range.  For Turbometal’s HID conversion kit, we carry 3000K Yellow, 6000K Crystal White, 8000K Blueish White and 10000K Purple.

3000K HID kit is usually used as fog lights, especially if you want to give your car a JDM look, the 3000K HID conversion matches perfectly with your vehicle:

6000K HID kit produces a pure white color, and it is a perfect choice for headlights or fog lights application.  The 6000K HID produces clean white color and it is safe to drive on the road without getting notice by the cops:

8000K HID produces a Blueish white light output, and it is good for application on headlights or fog lights if you want to give you vehicle a more aggressive look.  Comparing to the 6000K, the 8000K HID will not light up as far as the 6000K, however, it gives your a more aggressive style.

10000K HID produces a violet purple color, I’ll suggest to use 10000K for fog lights ONLY.  I know someone likes to use 10000K purple for their headlights, but since the purple color is too aggressive, cops love to pull over cars that catch their attention, so watch out for tickets if you are using 10000K for the headlights, but the choice is up to you.

Things you should know about HID kit

Now you know that HID kit produces bright light source for your headlights or fog lights; however, how the light focus is another issue too.

If your headlights do not have projector lens, and you install the HID kit, the light output will be very bright yet not focus as well as projector headlights.  The reason is that the glare of your headlight housing will make the focusing job difficult.  Well, it will not affect your driving visibility if you are using crystal headlights with HID kit, just that the car in front of you will see a very bright headlights on the mirror.

With projector lens, the light beam will focus better to a certain position.  Well, the quality for the projector lens matter too, some stock projector lens such as the TSX projector lens or the RX330 projector lens project really well and give the light beam a perfect cut off line, and they are used often for Retrofit headlights.  Well the TSX or RX330 projector lens are quite expensive, and requires putting your headlights into to oven, bake it, take out the lens, install the projector lens and reseal the lens.  If you are not a professional, it is very easy to mess up your headlights in any of the steps that described above.  If you are looking for something more affordable and easier to install, get our aftermarket projector headlights.  To be honest with you, the projector lens we use is not as good as the best quality TSX projector or Lexus projector, but our projector lens do the focusing job pretty well that will fulfill your need.  Feel free to check our Turbometal projector headlights collection and see if you can find any projector headlights for your car and the HID kit.

In this DIY I am going to show everyone how to install a HID (high-intensity discharge) xenon kit from Turbometal.

Tools required to install the HID xenon kit

Step 1. Make sure the vehicle is off then disconnect the negative terminal on the battery.  Next remove the headlights.  Use the 10mm wrench to remove the bolts then disconnect the electrical plugs.

Step 2. In the back housing of the headlight, remove the rubber dust cover for the low beam.  Then unlock the stock bulb and remove it.

Step 3. Take the HID bulb unit out of the box. Remove the plastic cover protecting the bulb but keep the base piece on.

Step 4. Now plug in the HID, it’s the same as putting the old bulb back in, but instead of plugging the plug into the back of the bulb, connect it to the connections on the wires. Red to red and black to brown, shown in the picture below.

Step 5. In order to reinstall the dust cover back on, the wires have to fit through the cover.  Cut a reasonable hole to fed the wires through the cover.

Step 6. After both headlights have been connected, locate a area to mount the ballasts.

Step 7. Connect the wires to the ballasts.  Connect the negative back to the battery. Turn them on.

WARNING DO NOT INSTALL ONE AND TURN ON YOUR HEADLIGHTS TO COMPARE.
